Job Summary

We are seeking an Apprentice Field Service Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As an Apprentice Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for learning and performing a wide range of technical duties to ensure our aviation product range is compliant with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and become proficient in the service and support of critical infrastructure Security & Detection Systems.
  • Work within the Service team and other relevant departments to gain a complete understanding of the Service, Manufacturing/Engineering processes.
  • Attend internal product training and training to perform assembly tasks.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of Security & Detection Systems within Field Service.
  • Training to wire electrical control cabinets and understand GA drawings and Electrical documentation.
  • Attend college on a day release basis leading to attainment of Engineering Technician Level 3 qualification.
Requirements
  • Good communication skills and ability to undertake and follow instructions.
  • Able to express ideas clearly and have an interest in electronic, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Good GCSE secondary school qualifications in core subjects and ability to use computers and understanding of Microsoft packages.
  • Able to obtain DBS clearance for Airport Airside access and hold a clean, full UK driving license.
