Project Manager Role Overview

Crux Product Design is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our project management team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career and work on exciting product development projects.

The successful candidate will work with our multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams to manage the development of medical and consumer goods devices, from concept through to production. This is a key position of responsibility, and your success in this role will be central to the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple design and development projects, ranging from initial concept, product definition, design & development, and transfer to manufacture.
  • Lead and work with project teams to solve challenging design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges.
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks.
  • Ensure clear communication and awareness of project status with respect to timeline, budget, and quality with internal stakeholders at all levels, including Directors.
  • Manage, allocate, and approve resources for projects and manage interdependencies between projects.
  • Manage relationships with clients, building trust and collaboration.
  • Capture business opportunities from ongoing client project activities.
  • Create project proposals/quotation, including defining project schedules and budgets.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of project status to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A 1st or 2:1 degree in an engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years' project management experience, managing medical device design and technology development projects.
  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an articulate and diplomatic manner.
  • Experience of planning multiple parallel tasks and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Ability to track project progress and deliver projects on-time and to budget.
  • Ability to address issues as they arise and make and drive decisions.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
