Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Commercial and Insurance Underwriter to join our team at The Recruiter Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing renewal and mid-term amendment quotations in line with underwriting guides and business operating standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and compliant renewals and mid-term adjustments in line with pricing levels, risk selection criteria, and ensure that income and conversion objectives are achieved.
  • Oversee all administrative duties required in connection to the above, including processing and administering policy documentation, initiating and monitoring surveys, mid-term adjustments, renewal review and negotiation, and claims monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer contact and ensure the delivery of high-quality service, appropriate to the needs of brokers or insurers.
  • Proven understanding of commercial existing business underwriting.
  • Good understanding of commercial business, including commercial combined and property classes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, computer literacy, a positive attitude, and a team player.
