Head of Communications

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to join our team at Hanson Search. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our communications strategy and stakeholder engagement to grow and protect our reputation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, effectively delivering communications appropriate to each. They will have experience in designing and implementing communications strategies and plans to achieve business objectives. The ability to serve as a spokesperson on sensitive areas and build lasting relationships with top-tier media is essential.

The role will involve providing brand and communications advice to our clients, cultivating relationships with journalists and editors across African and sustainability media, and developing content campaigns that inspire thought and comments. You will also be responsible for monitoring the impact of these strategies and supporting our clients in delivering internal and external communications that raise their employee brand.

We are looking for someone with a strong affinity for Africa and the ability to travel to the continent regularly. The role will be based in our London offices, which offer a brilliant working culture and excellent career opportunities.
