Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute ESG corporate communications plans to support regional business objectives in ESG, through media, social, leadership, and employee communications, aligned with global and regional communications strategies.
  • Ensure consistency of brand and message across channels and spokespeople on ESG topics.
  • Source, create, edit, and publish compelling stories about Boston Scientific's ESG journey, connecting it to our purpose, values, and people through internal and external channels.
  • Proactively manage the schedule of EMEA communications activities and organize the work and input of others, such as agencies, volunteers, and project support.
  • Evaluate the impact of ESG communications activities and proactively use insights to improve future campaigns and strengthen internal partnerships.
  • Manage the ESG Comms EMEA budget and manage communications vendors to ensure consistency, quality, value, and innovation in their approach.
  • Coach internal partners and junior team members, such as interns, as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills.
  • Degree in communications or a related discipline.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in one other EMEA language is highly desirable.
  • Practical experience in developing ESG communications, particularly on environmental sustainability topics.
  • Broad experience in managing complex communications environments is essential, ideally with some pan-European or international experience.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred from either an agency or corporate setting.

Work Mode

The work mode is hybrid, requiring the ability to work in the offices 2-3 days per week.

Travel

20-30% travel is anticipated, mainly within the European region to major congresses and Boston Scientific offices.
