ESG Corporate Communications Senior Specialist

As a key member of our EMEA Corporate Communications team, you'll play a critical role in shaping our ESG communications strategy and elevating our reputation as a leading healthcare company in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute ESG corporate communications plans to support regional business objectives, leveraging media, social, leadership, and employee communications channels.
  • Ensure consistency of brand and message across channels and spokespeople on ESG topics, drawing from a deep understanding of our corporate story.
  • Source, create, edit, and publish compelling stories about Boston Scientific's ESG journey, connecting it to our purpose, values, and people through internal and external channels.
  • Proactively manage the schedule of EMEA communications activities, organizing work and input from agencies, volunteers, and project support.
  • Evaluate the impact of ESG communications activities using a data-driven approach, applying insights to improve future campaigns and strengthen internal partnerships.
  • Manage the ESG Comms EMEA budget and oversee communications vendors to ensure consistency, quality, value, and innovation in their approach.
  • Coach internal partners and junior team members, such as interns, as needed, to support their growth and development.
Requirements
  • Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills.
  • Degree in communications or a related field.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in one other EMEA language highly desirable.
  • Practical experience in developing ESG communications, particularly on environmental sustainability topics.
  • Broad experience in managing complex communications environments, ideally with some pan-European or international experience.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably from an agency or corporate setting (e.g., MedTech, pharma, hospital, PR agency specializing in health).
  • 20-30% travel is anticipated, mainly within the European region to major congresses and Boston Scientific offices.
  • Work mode is hybrid, requiring the ability to spend 2-3 days per week in the office.
