Job Overview

DPS Group, a leading provider of integrated electrical, instrumental & control, and compliance services, seeks a skilled Electrician to work on various projects across different sectors.

This full-time, permanent position based in Inverness offers:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install cable containment systems safely and efficiently.
  • Install, gland, and terminate cable systems used in the industrial sector.
  • Install electrical equipment according to BS 7671 and manufacturers' instructions.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components.
  • Work at height to install or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards and defects.
  • Advise management on equipment safety.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified electrician with skills in electrical equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • ECS Grading Card current/in date (BS 7671 Training, Approved Health and Safety Assessment).
  • Knowledge of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
  • Fully qualified to 18th Edition.
  • Water industry experience is advantageous, but other sectors like heavy industry are also considered.
  • EUSR Ticket.
