Job Title: 3D AutoCAD Design Manager

As a key member of our Engineering function based in the Northern Region, you will play a crucial role in managing both direct and sub-contracted design teams involved in our growing portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage design delivery and technical design solutions for our programme of work, ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and specifications.
  2. Adhere to CDM regulations as Design Manager and ensure appropriate CDM appointments are in place.
  3. Promote safety, environmental best practices, and sustainability through design.
  4. Produce design plans and briefs.
  5. Manage the agreed contract with external design consultants, ensuring duties are discharged under the contract.
  6. Support Estimators and the Project Manager to produce and manage the design and budget schedule.
  7. Implement change control processes to track and manage the development of the Engineering element of a project.
  8. Lead internal and external design reviews.
  9. Support supply chain selection for specialists' input on the design.
  10. Collaborate with other technical, operational, maintenance, and strategic stakeholders, and design coordinators.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 10 years of design and management experience.
  2. Experience in the design management of water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipelines, hydraulics, and MEICA.
  3. Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and common data environments.
  4. People management, time management, project design management.
