Job Title: Senior Consultant - Health and Safety CDM Principal Designer

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. As a Senior Consultant - Health and Safety CDM Principal Designer, you'll play a critical role in helping us achieve this goal.

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Health and Safety Consultant to join our team as a Principal Designer. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering Health and Safety consultancy services to our clients, ensuring consistent delivery of HSW solutions that meet their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety strategies to meet client needs and expectations
  • Provide expert advice and act as Principal Designer to help clients manage and understand their legal responsibilities under CDM regulations
  • Establish positive relationships with clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate
  • Represent Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner, including meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients in a timely manner
  • Manage all commissions to ensure client expectations and Turner & Townsend's business management system requirements are effectively discharged
  • Undertake relevant audits as per contract requirements
  • Secure new opportunities for Health & Safety and the wider Turner & Townsend business
  • Efficiently manage the region in accordance with Turner & Townsend's business financial management systems and set KPIs
  • Liaise with the Health & Safety Team to ensure consistency of service delivery and identify opportunities for developing the quality and profitability of the department
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills to generate reports and documents
  • Solutions-driven
  • Excellent client empathy
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in construction and asset-related health, safety, and well-being management
  • Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors, with expertise in the infrastructure sector and proven ability to meet client needs in that sector
  • Team and business management experience
  • Acting as a focal point as Principal Designer
Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Membership of APS
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Degree-level education
  • NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent)
  • CMIOSH or equivalent
