Java Developer - NHS

Identifi Global Resources is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our multidisciplinary team focused on building a new Integration Platform in healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be integral to delivering a new messaging system called the Integration Hub, working with cutting-edge healthcare technologies, clinical data stores, and web services.

Role Overview

As a Java Developer, you will work in Scrum teams, contributing to software component development based on established design solutions. Your responsibilities will include testing, documentation, and integrating legacy systems with new digital platforms.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Proficiency in Java, Jakarta EE, OOP, microservices-based system architecture, and multithreading
  • Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (e.g., WSO2, BizTalk, IBM Websphere) and messaging queues (Rabbit MQ, Active MQ)
  • Web Services expertise (SOAP, REST, APIs), along with XML, SQL, TCP/UDP
  • Containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, Agile methodologies
  • Experience with tools like Apache Camel, HL7 v 2.x, FHIR messaging standards
  • Knowledge of high availability solutions (e.g., Clustering, Always On)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development or equivalent experience
  • Foundation-level agile certification or equivalent experience
