About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Agile Java Developer to join our team in Cardiff, UK. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications in an Agile environment.

As a Senior Agile Java Developer, you will work closely with our cross-functional team to identify and prioritize project requirements, design and implement software solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing new features to improving existing ones, and will be expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement of our team's practices and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications in an Agile environment.
  2. Work closely with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  4. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of team practices and ways of working.
  5. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.
  6. Work closely with the quality team to ensure that standards are maintained and improved.
  7. Provide third-level support to business users.
  8. Assist in the development of junior team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Java development skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with GraphQL, Docker, Jira, Git, and other relevant technologies.
