Disrepair Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in property or housing management, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include leading the disrepair team, managing the delivery of the housing disrepair program, and working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve cases effectively.

This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be able to programme manage the work across teams and within the service, ensuring compliance with Court orders and quality standards for residents.

About you:

You will have a strong understanding of landlord and tenant law, and the processes that surround legal disrepair. Experience of commissioning and working professionally with third-party suppliers is also essential. A good working knowledge of Programme Management principles and practices is required, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with various teams.

Key duties:
  • Lead the disrepair team in the Property Management Division.
  • Work with the Head of Repairs & Operations to ensure sufficient supply chain resources are secured.
  • Convene and lead cross-service engagement with internal and external lawyers, neighbourhood management, insurance, leasehold services, and housing allocation teams.
