Railway Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Traffic Manager at Carbon 60. As part of our team, you will contribute to the development of one of the largest and most complex railways in Europe.
About the Job DescriptionThis is a client-side contract position within IR35 guidelines. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Traffic Manager in ensuring site traffic assurance across multiple main sites.
- You will receive and review contractor forecast and actual traffic flow information, as well as traffic management data.
- Identify areas where contractors may not be meeting Environmental Minimum Requirements and provide suitable mitigation measures.
- Compile information from different contractors using spreadsheet tools.
- Assess actual flow trends against Local Traffic Management Plan assumptions and identify any deviations requiring attention.
- Liaise with town planners and environmental specialists on noise and air quality data provision.
- Deploy the HS2 compliance team to verify contractor records in cases of non-compliance.
The salary for this position is estimated at £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, based on your expertise and qualifications.
A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience working with traffic models and their environmental implications.
