We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team at Highfield Lifecare in Timaru. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping to provide hearty and nutritious meals for our residents. Your positive attitude and passion for creating good food will make a meaningful difference to their lives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals, ensuring individual food requirements are met. You will work closely with our experienced chefs and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
Salary: NZD 25-30 per hour
About Our Role:
- Casual position - available for on-call shifts as needed
- Ambitious morning and weekend shifts
- Competitive hourly rate based on skills and experience
Your Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in catering and food service, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting (training provided)
- A genuine passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and delivering to a high quality standard
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
