Description

We are seeking a skilled HVDC SCADA/HMI Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our automation systems for power plants and transmission systems.

Your primary focus will be on designing the control cabinet layout, including hundreds of circuit boards for measurements, control, and calculations. You will also be responsible for designing user interfaces, diagnostic tools, and IT infrastructure, as well as ensuring the security of our systems.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing complete infrastructure for networks and systems to supporting projects across the globe during commissioning. You will also have the chance to collaborate with engineering colleagues and share best practices across different projects and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation systems for power plants and transmission systems
  • Design control cabinet layout and user interfaces
  • Ensure the security of our systems
  • Support projects across the globe during commissioning
  • Collaborate with engineering colleagues and share best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant technical area
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
  • Experience with network equipment, redundant network designs, and protocols
  • Experience with Microsoft client- and server operating systems
  • Experience with databases and high-availability solutions
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation technologies
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection systems, security information event monitoring, and application control
