Description

We are seeking a talented HVDC SCADA/HMI Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our automation systems for power plants and transmission lines.

Your primary focus will be on designing the control cabinet layout, including hundreds of circuit boards for measurements, control, and calculations. You will also be responsible for designing user interfaces, diagnostic tools, and IT infrastructure, as well as ensuring the security of our systems.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and implementing new systems to supporting existing ones. You will collaborate with our engineering team to share best practices and ensure that our systems are designed and implemented to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation systems for power plants and transmission lines
  • Design control cabinet layout and user interfaces
  • Ensure the security of our systems
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to share best practices
  • Support existing projects and systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant technical field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with network equipment and redundant network designs
  • Experience with Microsoft client- and server operating systems
  • Experience with databases and high-availability solutions
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation technologies
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection systems and security information event monitoring
