About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a team in providing exceptional care for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by setting up a brand new setting and establishing its practices from the beginning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguarding Our Young People: Collaborate with your team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in your care.
  • Individualized Care Plans: Lead the creation, implementation, and monitoring of personalized care plans, working closely with external professionals, agencies, and families.
  • Team Development: Empower your team to foster independence in both residential settings and the wider community, conducting performance reviews and providing regular supervision.
  • Engaging Activities: Support your team in organizing engaging activities, trips, and visits that inspire and enrich the lives of the young people you support.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management Qualifications: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – showcasing your leadership capabilities.
  • Care Experience: Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – with a willingness to achieve your Level 5 QCF within 2 years if you haven't already.
  • Management Experience: At Least 2 Years of Management/Supervisory Experience in a care setting within the past 5 years – you've got the experience we need.
  • Expertise in Learning Disabilities: Proven expertise in learning disabilities and complex needs – you understand the challenges and rewards of working with these incredible individuals.
  • Knowledge of Best Practices: Up-to-date knowledge of learning disabilities and person-centered planning – you're always learning and applying the latest best practices.
