Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Generator Maintenance Specialist to join our team at The Generator Company. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on diesel-powered generator sets, including routine servicing, maintenance, installation, and repair.

About the Role:

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, installation, and repair of generators from 40kVA to 2.2mVA
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification of engine, alternator, and control systems
  • Generate detailed service reports and liaise with contract managers and head office

Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of the power generation industry
  • A background in servicing and maintaining diesel engines, alternators, and/or controls
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under own initiative
  • Work with full adherence to the company's H&S, quality, and environmental policies
  • Able to understand and complete risk assessments
  • Required to participate in the on-call rota
  • Professional communication internally and externally
  • Full UK driving licence is required
  • ECS or other industry certification desirable

Compensation and Benefits:

  • £35,000 to £45,000 basic salary+overtime depending on experience
  • 20 to 23 days holiday, including bank holidays and birthday off paid
  • Unlimited overtime available on weekdays and weekends
