About You

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer with a strong background in installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems. Your excellent technical skills, combined with your ability to work independently and as part of a team, make you an ideal candidate for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing of maintenance contracts in accordance with company operating procedures and industry standards.
  • Acting as a technical advisor to clients, reporting any issues affecting the safe operation of fire alarm systems.
  • Repairing and maintaining fire alarm systems, identifying and replacing defective parts.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently and effectively.
  • Testing installations in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Carrying out small works installations, including travelling between sites to respond to emergency call-outs.
  • Reporting defects to clients or maintenance managers, including completing work sheets via a tablet.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of [insert estimated number, e.g., 5-7 years] years of experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer within the industry.
  • Good working knowledge of a wide range of control panels and fire alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with BS5839 (Fire Alarm Regulations) and British Standards BS5266.
  • Completed some or all FIA training units 1-5.
  • Knowledge of security systems would be an advantage.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
