Role Overview:

As a Category Merchandising Specialist within the Commercial function at Currys, you will be working in one of our most interesting and complex categories with top technology brands. This role requires an individual who can work with autonomy and good business acumen to manage stock and range across integrated appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building close relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and our supply chain to ensure continuity of supply
  • Stepping up and taking responsibility for achieving key performance indicators (sales, stock, margin, and markdown)
  • Reviewing sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends, and market trends
  • Monitoring weekly performance and making recommendations to ensure in-season plans and deliver target availability across the store estate

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Merchandising, ideally in consumer goods, technology, non-fashion, or a fashion-related sector
  • A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g., Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, or Business
  • Knowledge of merchandise planning systems such as SAP, Compass Planning, or similar
  • Experience of business objects
  • Strong numerical, analytical skills, and communication skills
