About the Role

Denholm Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our account team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and promoting them to their target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the needs of a portfolio of clients' public relations accounts, providing strategic advice and counsel to aid their PR and wider marketing campaigns.
  • Develop industry, sector, and product-focused public relations campaigns, providing product or company information to the media and developing news angles, stories, and pitches.
  • Build relationships with existing and new clients, as well as key media contacts, and liaise with clients regarding press campaigns, creative projects, and PR solutions.
  • Deal with the media, speaking to journalists and other members of the press, and brief clients on press campaigns, providing creative ideas when needed.
  • Analyze PR coverage, key performance indicators, and provide written reports, communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Effectively record and monitor client billing and finance reporting, and keep abreast of current public relations trends and tools.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, including leading in-house training sessions.

Requirements

  • High levels of communication, including presentation, verbal, and written skills.
  • Impressive emotional intelligence and interpersonal expertise.
  • A passion for the media, including social media and key press contacts.
  • Flair for creativity, strategic thinking, and innovation.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Good industry knowledge and experience in building influential networks.
  • Outstanding organization with the ability to manage multiple projects, portfolios, and people at any one time.
  • Client-focused and sensitive to confidential information.
  • Relevant degrees in the arts, English language, media, or public relations, or PR qualifications from the PRCA or CIPR desirable.
  • Experience of working with business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) public relations accounts.
  • Agency experience is preferred, although not essential.
  • Evidence of copywriting, marketing, and report writing, social media, event management, and client liaison skills.
  • Industry knowledge and contacts are beneficial.
