Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and outcome-focused individual to join our Street Homelessness Service as an Outreach Team Manager. Our ambitious goal is to end rough sleeping in Enfield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement performance targets and quality control measures for the team.
  • Set clear objectives and hold regular supervisions with team members.
  • Ensure effective communication between staff through regular team meetings and briefings.
  • Induct new staff and plan continuing development for existing staff.
  • Manage team workload to ensure adequate cover is provided.
  • Ensure the health and safety of team members.
  • Define and review staff roles to ensure they support the project's aims and objectives.
  • Operate the London Borough of Enfield's disciplinary and grievance procedures as necessary.
  • Develop an accurate picture of rough sleeping in Enfield and identify locations where people may be sleeping rough.
  • Develop shift patterns and practices that reflect rough sleeping patterns and subgroups in Enfield.
  • Support the team to make contact with people potentially sleeping rough and verify rough sleeping.
  • Assess team performance and ensure the needs of people sleeping rough are met.
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with other departments and external agencies.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in developing street or community outreach services and supervising a staff team.
  • Experience in delivering and administering an assertive case management approach and motivating complex client groups.
  • Ability to broker relationships with services and develop pathways for clients to make positive change.
  • Ability to work as part of a management team and initiate effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of services and legislative environment regarding housing, health, and immigration as it relates to homeless people.
  • Ability to record and report work to a good standard using IT systems and written records.
