Job Summary:

The One Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Health and Safety Advisor to lead our safety and quality management efforts. This is a critical role that requires a strong track record in operational delivery within a high-risk environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Safety and Quality Management: Develop and implement effective safety and quality management systems, including risk assessments, accident management, and compliance through audits and monitoring.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer guidance and leadership on Health, Safety & Quality (HS&Q) matters, both in the UK and in remote, challenging environments.
  • Drive Continual Improvement: Collaborate with directors and managers to drive a program of continual improvement, ensuring the organization remains fit for the future.
  • Champion Occupational Health & Safety: Promote the adoption of a robust occupational health & safety management system to safeguard all staff and visitors.
  • Lead the Safety Management Team: Provide guidance on HS&Q management, drive innovation, and oversee staff management, including training, appraisals, and succession planning.
  • Manage Departmental Budgets: Ensure cost-effective operational delivery and prepare, review, and maintain plans, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a strategic health and safety role within a high-risk environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on innovation, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.

Additional Information: This role may require occasional overseas travel.
