Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering bespoke engineering solutions to customers on time, on budget and to specification. This will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that projects are properly planned, resourced and executed in line with internal processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver custom development projects on time, on budget and to specification.
  • Assist with proposals and project justification by gathering and reviewing preliminary information.
  • Create and implement a project management plan.
  • Construct and maintain a project schedule.
  • Monitor costs against the agreed budget.
  • Ensure comprehensive project requirements are produced and reviewed.
  • Manage project related risks.
  • Lead and participate in internal and external gateway reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external customer standards and procedures.
  • Deliver timely and thorough targeted communication.
  • Undertake project closeout reviews.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven project management expertise within a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver results through others within a matrix organisation.
  • Proven experience of liaising directly with customers.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
  • Problem solving & fault finding.
  • educated to degree level BSc/BEng or equivalent in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • APM PMQ, PRINCE 2 or similar project managements certification.
