The ideal candidate will have experience in project management within a manufacturing engineering environment and be able to deliver results through others within a matrix organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering custom development projects on time, on budget, and to specification
  • Assisting with proposals and project justification by gathering and reviewing preliminary information
  • Creating and implementing a project management plan
  • Constructing and maintaining a project schedule
  • Monitoring costs against the agreed budget
  • Ensuring comprehensive project requirements are produced and reviewed
  • Managing project-related risks
  • Leading and participating in internal and external gateway reviews
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with internal and external customer standards and procedures
  • Delivering timely and thorough targeted communication to all stakeholders
  • Undertaking project closeout reviews to gather lessons learned

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Proven project management expertise within a manufacturing engineering environment
  • Proven ability to deliver results through others within a matrix organisation
  • Proven experience of liaising directly with customers and delivering the highest possible levels of customer service
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work
  • Problem-solving & fault-finding skills
  • APM PMQ, PRINCE 2, or similar project management certification
