Job Title: Band 7 Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Physiologist to join our team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our private patient telemetry service and developing our home video-EEG telemetry service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform and report complex video-EEG telemetry studies
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure the service meets changing healthcare needs
  • Provide out-of-hours support and advice on technical issues to nursing staff
  • Ensure the safe and correct working of all telemetry equipment
  • Communicate complex clinical and technical information to medical staff
Person Specification:
  • BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent
  • Post Graduate Degree or equivalent specialised modules/courses or significant equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze data from complex investigations and give technical judgments
Skills and Abilities:
  • Able to use computerised databases and specialist software
  • Able to analyze and interpret data from various sources
  • Able to utilise ICT systems and standard programs
Communication:
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
  • Able to present research and audit material
Specific Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rota
  • Able to manoeuvre patients and equipment safely
