Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist - Clinical Cardiac Physiologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at King's College Hospital. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be responsible for performing a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations, including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform resting ECGs and ambulatory ECG and BP recordings, including event recorders
  • Analyze resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recordings, including event recorders
  • Support exercise stress echoes and exercise tolerance testing with appropriate training
  • Support head-up tilt table testing (HUTT) with appropriate training
  • Support ILR implant and follow up with appropriate training
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the needs and priorities of co-workers; coordinating and cooperating with other members of the team
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings and contribute to issues relating to quality of care, technical standards, and efficiency improvements as applied to own area of technical work
  • Undertake work in a timely and efficient way, meeting deadlines and keeping senior colleagues informed of changes in own technical workload
  • Maintain clinical documentation and databases as directed, adhering to departmental standards of record keeping with respect to accuracy, timeliness of completion, and confidentiality
  • Exercise initiative and judgement in solving problems related to own technical workload, whilst keeping others informed and recognizing when there is a need to refer problems to senior colleagues and being responsive to advice given

Requirements:

  • BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent or BSc in Healthcare Science (PTP) – Clinical Cardiac Physiology or MSc in Healthcare Science (STP) – Clinical Cardiac Physiology
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS)
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
