About the Role
We are seeking an experienced freelance social worker to join our adoption team as an independent contractor.
As a freelance social worker, you will be responsible for assessing applicants for their suitability as adoptive parents and early permanence carers.
You will work with applicants to complete assessments and write reports, and will be required to travel to applicants' homes and conduct video meetings.
Requirements
- A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- At least three years post-qualifying experience in children's social care settings
- Experience of completing adoption assessments and writing prospective adopters reports
- Ability to travel to applicants' homes and conduct video meetings
- Good understanding of the issues affecting adopted people, particularly those from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds
