About the Role

We are seeking experienced freelance social workers to join our team at Coram IAC, a leading adoption agency. As a freelance social worker, you will be responsible for assessing applicants for their suitability as adoptive parents and early permanence carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to evaluate applicants' suitability for adoption
  • Write comprehensive reports on applicants' suitability for adoption
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Travel to applicants' homes and conduct video meetings as required
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in adoption work, including completing assessments and writing reports
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of the issues affecting adopted people, particularly those from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds
