About the Job

We are recruiting for a Compliance Officer for SHEQ to join our team in Washington. As an SHEQ Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that Freedom Networks' Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures are followed.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring company systems and processes are complied with via site inspections/audits.
  • Monitoring the relevant areas of work for SHEQ compliance and bringing significant findings to the attention of the Operations Director and Divisional SHEQ Manager.
  • Implementing effective systems to develop a positive health & safety culture.
  • Advising and assisting the project on SHEQ matters.
  • Ensuring accident and incident investigations are carried out, monitoring that all actions are followed up and completed.
  • Monitoring the control of contractors within the region.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • NEBOSH General certification.
  • A good understanding of CDM.
  • A good understanding of HSG47/Underground Utility Avoidance (Desirable).
  • Environmental knowledge - Desirable.
  • Experience in electrical utilities - Desirable.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 – Desirable.
  • IOSH membership (Chartered or working towards) - Desirable.
  • Environmental Qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental Certificate) - Desirable.
