Freelance Customs Coordinator

This role is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freelance Customs Coordinator to join CV-Library's operations department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Shared Mailboxes: Oversee the efficient management of shared mailboxes, ensuring timely processing and resolution of inquiries.
- Job Booking and Handling: Utilize our TMS/workflow dashboard to book and handle jobs, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Customer and Supplier Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, external suppliers, and government bodies, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Shipment Operation: Operate our in-house systems to manage shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and procedures.
- Duty/VAT Invoicing: Log Duty/VAT invoicing requests to a central database, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Finance Support: Assist with finance-related queries both internally and externally, providing expertise and guidance as needed.
- Customer Service: Deliver high levels of customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Commercial Awareness: Support commercial awareness and the management team, contributing to business growth and development.
- Team Support: Collaborate with colleagues in other departments, providing assistance and support as required.
- Customs Compliance: Ensure customs compliance is maintained, adhering to regulatory requirements and procedures.
- Import/Export Freight Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of import/export freight procedures.
- Time Management: Demonstrate the ability to work to demanding deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent telephone manner and communication skills, interacting with customers, suppliers, and government bodies.
- Computer Literacy: Be computer literate in Microsoft Office, utilizing software applications to perform job duties.
- Attention to Detail: Display excellent attention to detail, maintaining accurate records and ensuring precision in work.
- Flexibility: Demonstrate a flexible approach and attitude, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Initiative and Teamwork: Show the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve goals.
- Organizational Skills: Exhibit excellent organizational skills, including record keeping and data management.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills, resolving complex issues and improving processes.
This role offers an estimated salary of £37,500 per annum.
