The school is based in Lewes and caters to students aged 4-16 who have experienced trauma, neglect, or challenging behaviour. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher in providing a supportive learning environment, offering behaviour and pastoral support, and working closely with therapists to develop forward-planning strategies.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a proactive approach, patience, and understanding. You should also be able to adapt to any situation and develop strong, positive relationships with students. If you have a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences
- Provide behaviour and pastoral support to students
- Work collaboratively with therapists to develop forward-planning strategies

Requirements:
- A degree in Criminology or a related field
- Proven experience working with vulnerable children or young adults
- An understanding of SEMH and its impact on individuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
