Health and Safety Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at an award-winning FMCG manufacturer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional to take on a standalone role in a fast-paced high volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance, ensuring all legal requirements are met along with company policies and procedures.
* Develop and maintain HSE training matrix and deliver internal training to employees.
* Manage and organise any external training required, such as first aider, fire marshal, and fire extinguisher.
* Manage fire extinguisher maintenance schedule.
* Develop and manage a site HSE audit schedule and lead HSE site audits, ensuring any corrective actions are completed to deliver continual improvement.
* Manage the disposal of scrap product and raw material to ensure compliance with legal and local regulations.
* Carry out risk assessments and set schedules for review.
* Develop environmental policy and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a standalone Health and Safety Manager role, ideally within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
* Any experience of working with chemicals would be advantageous, with knowledge of COMAH.
* NABOSH or NVQ Level 6 Diploma desirable.
* IEMA foundation certificate or higher advantageous but not essential.
* Proficient at working with IT systems, including MS Office.
