Job Title: Principal Engineer - Product Safety

Location: Flexible working arrangements available across various locations, including Frimley, Filton, Broadoak, Brough, Manchester, Weymouth, and Barrow-In-Furness.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Product Safety to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Product Safety team, you will be responsible for leading the development of functional Safety Cases and managing the production of safety documentation to a defined schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team in developing functional Safety Cases
  • Manage the production of safety documentation to a defined schedule
  • Undertake complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis
  • Produce written function safety justifications
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including System Engineers and Human Factors Subject Matter Experts

Requirements:

  • STEM Degree or relevant experience
  • Leading a small team
  • Delivering functional Safety Cases
  • Complex safety analysis and justification
