Consultant Psychiatrist in Peterborough Adult Locality Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Peterborough Adult Locality Team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and leadership to our adult community mental health services.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership to the team and contributing to the assessment and treatment of patients with mental disorders
- Working closely with a small team of senior clinicians to manage the flow of patients between primary and secondary care
- Providing ongoing treatments to patients that are evidence-based and supported by NICE guidelines
- Maintaining Section 12(2) status and Approved Clinician status
- Participating in Mental Health Act assessments and being the Responsible Clinician for patients on supervised community treatment orders

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Full GMC registration and licence to practice
- MBBS or equivalent
- Approved Clinician Status or eligible to attend training
- Specialty Registration in psychiatry
- CCT in adult psychiatry or within 6 months of attainment of Higher Training CCT at time of interview
