Fixed-Term Contract

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Band Nurse Associate to join our Peterborough Adult Locality duty team on a fixed-term contract. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality nursing advice, support, and care to service users with mental and physical health needs.

You will work closely with a Band duty lead, supporting patients who are experiencing a crisis, administering depot medication, planning, and delivering care to patients on the care coordination waiting list. Daily Multi-Disciplinary Team support will be available to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The role requires flexibility to work from base and travel within the Peterborough community at short notice.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will provide evidence-based nursing advice, support, and care to service users with mental and physical health needs and their carers within a multidisciplinary setting.

They will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in line with the agreed NMC standards specific to the role. A working knowledge of local, national policies, and legislation governing current service provision is essential.

The post holder will ensure effective communication pathways exist and act within their sphere of responsibility. They will work as part of the duty team to manage unplanned work and work out of the team base to support staff dealing with service users in crisis.
