Senior Hydraulic Modeller - Flood Risk & Drainage

 

Salary - From £65,000, dependent on experience

 

A Senior Hydraulic Modeller is required to join a multi-discipline Building Design Consultancy in the North of England. The company offers a broad range of services in Building Surveying, Civil & Structural, Highways and Drainage Engineering.

Senior Hydraulic Modeller Role:

 

  1. Lead a dedicated team of hydraulic modellers & engineers
  2. Establish best practices, drive innovation, and contribute to the success of projects related to water systems and infrastructure
  3. Produce and run 1D/2D hydraulic models, Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes and Drainage Strategies on a wide range of schemes
  4. Provide technical support to the team of Engineers and support them in delivering projects
  5. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs, and ability to manage expectations

Senior Hydraulic Modeller Requirements:

 

  1. Degree in one of the following disciplines: Geography, Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent
  2. Membership with CIWEM or working towards membership
  3. Ability to manage project delivery and provide leadership
  4. Proven record delivering Flood Alleviation schemes, Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  5. Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as Autocad, QGIS
  6. Proficiency in Hydraulic Modelling software such as Infodrainage, Flow, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller
  7. Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  8. Strong leadership skills such as mentoring and team building
  9. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  10. Full UK driving license
