Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Operational Support Specialist to join our team at Energy Systems Catapult. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the ongoing operations for our Living Lab trials and other assets, ensuring their smooth introduction and running.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and deployment of technical support to consumers, participants, and local authorities using our various platforms.
  • Interface with stakeholders, including Living Lab participants, colleagues, and commercial partners, utilizing strong communication skills.
  • Review reports to monitor data quality, investigate gaps in data, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Report and track operational bugs in the platform software.
  • Manage day-to-day work priorities and escalate work when necessary.
  • Contribute to risk and quality assessment and management.
  • Support the installation and decommissioning of technologies, tracking installations, stock levels, and linking status.
  • Ensure compliance with legal obligations, such as GDPR, and relevant operational and business procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Collaborative and flexible, with the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams.
  • Willingness to develop new skills and support tools and systems.
  • A focus on continuous improvement, with the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Interest in decarbonization and/or the energy sector.
  • Experience in customer service or a similar role.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to fully understand issues and prevent them from happening again.
  • Experience with large datasets, particularly using reports and queries within Tableau.
  • Experience complying with GDPR.
  • Risk and quality assessment and management.
  • Managing trials and products (New Product Introduction).
  • Working in cross-functional project teams.
