Job Title: Peer Support Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Worker to join our team at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind. As a Peer Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health issues, helping them to gain a sense of hope and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and practical assistance to individuals with mental health issues
  • Support individuals to develop coping strategies and improve their mental wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support package
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and services to support individuals with mental health issues

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of mental health issues, either personally or through supporting others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
