Hepatology Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hepatologist to join our team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a Consultant Hepatologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our hepatology services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients with liver disease, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including registrars, nurses, and other support staff, to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development of our hepatology services, including the design and implementation of new treatments and therapies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including gastroenterologists, surgeons, and radiologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Person Specification- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- MRCP or equivalent.
- Sub-specialty accreditation in Hepatology.
- Higher Degree (MD/PhD).
- Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT in Gastroenterology (proposed date must be within 6 months), CESR or European Community Rights.
- Wide experience of Hepatology and Gastroenterology.
- Certified training in Upper GI endoscopy.
