Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in hepatology, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of liver diseases.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including registrars, nurses, and other support staff, to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols for the management of liver diseases.
  • Contribute to the development of our hepatology service, including service improvement initiatives and research projects.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans for patients with liver diseases.

Person Specification

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • Sub-specialty accreditation in Hepatology.
  • Higher Degree (MD/PhD).
  • Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT in Gastroenterology (proposed date must be within 6 months), CESR or European Community Rights.
  • Wide experience of Hepatology and Gastroenterology.
  • Certified training in Upper GI endoscopy.
