Therapist Position: Perinatal Mental Health

The Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust delivers a perinatal mental health service to support women with mental health difficulties associated with pregnancy and childbirth.

Role Overview:

As a Psychological Therapist, you will conduct assessments and provide therapy to women with moderate to severe mental health difficulties following birth trauma and perinatal loss.

Collaboration with specialist maternal mental health midwives is essential for delivering a trauma-informed psychological service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop treatment plans for individuals with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
  • Collaborate with specialist maternal mental health midwives to ensure a comprehensive and effective trauma-informed psychological service.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counselling psychology, as accredited by the HCPC and BPS, or allied health professional registration with relevant psychotherapeutic accreditation.
  • Understand the impact of trauma and loss on mental health recovery.
  • Demonstrate experience in delivering specialist interventions and advising on case management.
Compensation and Employee Benefits:

£43,141 - £62,060 per annum, depending on experience.
