Business Development Manager

Workstreet is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their team in the West Midlands. As the face of outreach efforts, you will be responsible for engaging businesses, ensuring recruitment targets are met, and maximising ongoing engagement with our vibrant network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Target Achievement: Actively sell to businesses, meeting and exceeding recruitment targets to drive growth.
  • Building Relationships: Actively build new relationships and foster sustained engagement within companies' networks.
  • Business Engagement Strategy: Develop and implement a robust business engagement strategy that meets recruitment targets and elevates business services.
  • Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and convert a dynamic pipeline of business contacts, ensuring regular updates and progress tracking.
  • Conversion Maximisation: Manage business contacts effectively, ensuring every enquiry and event attendee is followed up to optimise conversion rates.
  • Data Management: Accurately capture, measure, and report engagement activities, including enquiries, applications, registrations, and conversions.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including new and existing referral partners.
  • Event Promotion: Identify and participate in key events and networking opportunities, delivering presentations and promoting services.
  • Marketing Materials: Develop and manage marketing materials in line with branding, including websites, brochures, and email templates. Oversee the distribution of these materials.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be an experienced B2B sales professional from a business development or sales and marketing background.
  • Candidates must have a proven track record of winning new business.
  • Must be able to demonstrate skills in both account management and new business.
  • Strong relationships builders able to build effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Good organisation skills required to manage the working day/week to maximise selling time in front of customers.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, honest, and a team player promoting the Company at all times.
  • A sense of humour.
  • Will be required to liaise with employees across the regional group; therefore must be confident and an excellent team player.
