Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Assessor to join our team at Abatec Recruitment. As a key member of our waste management department, you will be responsible for assessing waste enquiries, characterizing and classifying waste materials, and collaborating with third-party labs for testing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing waste enquiries and providing accurate classifications
  • Collaborating with third-party labs for testing and sampling requirements
  • Producing reports and assisting with regulatory reporting

About You

  • HNC/HND or higher in Environmental Sciences or Chemistry-related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Valid driving license and access to own vehicle
  • Previous roles in hazardous waste management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate waste streams, classify them, and determine disposal costs

Additional Qualifications (Desirable)

  • WAMITAB COTC
  • IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualifications
  • Experience in roles such as Site Chemist or Laboratory Technician
