Job Title: Graduate Radiation Physicist

At OSI Systems, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Graduate Radiation Physicist to join our Science and Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving forward our Research and Development Roadmap for the Business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the data capture, analysis, and system performance optimization for various products at the point of Commissioning and customer acceptance testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry performance standards for X-ray security screening and oversee a suite of test fixtures and phantoms to support necessary image capture.
  • Own the creation, maintenance, and dissemination of image capture protocols and techniques for validating system-level performance capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain analytical models to predict detector response to X-ray illumination and replicate X-ray spectral compositions.
  • Work closely with the software team to develop and deliver image enhancement tools and filters into the inspection suite.
  • Support programs and projects to deliver fully compliant X-ray imaging systems at customer acceptance tests, both on-site and at customer facilities worldwide.
Requirements:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate experience in radiation physics with an experimental background.
  • Experience using Excel and Matlab for data analysis.
  • The ability to work with others in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced product development environment.
  • Willingness to support off-site programs of work, often at short notice and out of normal working hours in the UK.
