Job Overview

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to support governance and quality assurance initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Associate Director of Clinical Governance to deliver improved governance in areas related to inquests and PSIRF.

Main Responsibilities

The candidate will have substantial experience in a senior managerial and leadership role within an acute healthcare setting, with expertise in clinical audit and effectiveness, CQC compliance, and quality improvement techniques. They will also have experience in leading significant change to patient services, developing and maintaining active partnerships with stakeholders, and managing individual and team performance.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Substantial experience in a senior managerial and leadership role within an acute healthcare setting
  • Expert knowledge of clinical audit and effectiveness, CQC compliance, and quality improvement techniques
  • Experience in leading significant change to patient services and developing and maintaining active partnerships with stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Extensive knowledge of practice and policy across a broad range of financial responsibilities
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent experience, current clinical registration, and a strong understanding of quality improvement techniques. They will also have experience in managing individual and team performance, developing and maintaining active partnerships with stakeholders, and leading significant change to patient services.
