Main Responsibilities

The Governance and Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance on governance and quality assurance matters to senior clinical and managerial teams
  • Developing and implementing effective governance and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust policies
  • Leading and coordinating quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address areas for improvement
  • Providing training and support to staff on governance and quality assurance matters
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have:

  • Substantial experience in a senior managerial and leadership role within an acute healthcare setting
  • Expert knowledge of clinical audit and effectiveness, CQC compliance, and quality improvement techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with senior clinical and managerial teams
  • Ability to think and plan strategically, tactically, and creatively, and to gain agreement to relevant plans
  • Proven numeric and analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical and workable solutions
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Master's degree level or equivalent experience
  • Current clinical registration, NMC/GMC/AHP
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in quality assurance, compliance, and governance
