About the Role
At Falmouth University, we're seeking a Senior Creative Technician to join our pioneering team at the Centre for Blended Realities (CBR). Our goal is to foster an open environment where knowledge is shared among team members, promoting career progression and retaining expertise.

The post holder will provide professional technical support, demonstration, and supervision for facilities, equipment, and processes in one or more centre subject areas. You'll possess specialist knowledge in your area, employing a broad-spectrum approach to technology application, with skills in 3D, real-time video, AI, coding, and electronics.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension contribution up to 12%, 28 days + 8 bank holiday days, annual salary increments, enhanced maternity/paternity pay/adoption pay, salary sacrifice car scheme, cycle scheme, home & tech scheme, and life assurance.

To be successful, you'll have a relevant degree, recent experience in curriculum support, and experience working closely with academic colleagues. You'll have up-to-date knowledge of related technical practice and a commitment to continual development, as well as experience servicing and maintaining technical facilities.

Requirements
  • Substantial experience in identified technical specialisms
  • Recent experience of curriculum support and assessment in a relevant subject
  • Experience working closely with academic colleagues
