Job Description

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Dawn House School

Job Type: Full-time and Part-time

Hours: Working term time only (plus 3 weeks during school closure periods)

Salary: £34,816 - £38,280 (pro rata for part-time), depending on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Dawn House School. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and weaknesses
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication needs
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech and language therapy

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
