About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Dawn House School. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting children with severe and complex speech, language, and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver effective therapy interventions to a caseload of pupils with complex communication needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure pupils' needs are met and develop comprehensive therapy plans.
  • Participate in pre-admission assessments and provide comprehensive reports to support pupil placement.
  • Offer specialist advice to staff and parents, and lead on specific clinical areas to promote best practice.
  • Contribute to outreach and whole-school development to enhance the provision for pupils with complex communication needs.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and HCPC.
  • A recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with paediatric caseloads.
  • Experience with complex speech and language disorders is desirable.
  • Experience in a school setting and working within a multidisciplinary team is preferred.
